ORANGE, VIRGINIA

Mount Sharon

Located on over 500 acres, the Mount Sharon estate is among the most historic homes in the Mid-Atlantic. Anchored by a handsome Georgian residence, Mount Sharon features historic gardens were originally created in 1937 by renowned architect Louis Bancel LaFarge. QUEENSTOWN, MARYLAND

Cloverfields

A rare example of early 18th-century architecture, Cloverfields was built along the Wye River on Maryland’s Eastern Shore for wealthy planter and merchant Philomont Hemsley. Built with over 300,000 handmade bricks, over 30 glazed windows, and magnificent terraced gardens, Cloverfields shines under new light thanks to a meticulous renovation by Kimmel Studio Architects, Lynbrook of Annapolis, and the Cloverfields Preservation Foundation.

MCLEAN, VIRGINIA

The Merrywood Estate

Regarded as one of the finest private estates in the Mid-Atlantic, The Merrywood Estate has served as home to several of America’s most influential political and business leaders, including Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Gracing the banks of the Potomac River in McLean, Virginia, Merrywood was built in 1919 in the Georgian style and features formal gardens designed by celebrated landscape architect Beatrix Ferrand as well as modernized interior decoration by acclaimed interior designer Barry Dixon.

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA

The Rice House

Completed in 1965 for Ambassador Walter Rice, this legendary home in Richmond, Virginia is among the finest examples of modern architecture in the United States. Known as The Rice House, this historic home is an original design of architect Richard Neutra and was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999 as a notable contribution to American design. In 2019, following a meticulous whole-home renovation at the hands of custom home builders Mako Builders and award-winning architecture firm 3North, The Rice House remains a quintessential example of modern American design.

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND

Charlcote House

Designed by legendary architect John Russell Pope in 1914, Charlcote House is among the finest private residences in the Mid-Atlantic. Located in the historic Guilford neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland — regarded for its well-preserved historic mansions and tree-lined streets — Chalcote House os an impressive example of Classical Revival architecture. Elway Hall

Built in 1907 by prominent industrialist and railroad tycoon, Johnson Newlon Camden and architect H.H. ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND

The Friary on the Severn

Set on a gracious bend of the Severn River — just minutes from downtown Annapolis, Maryland — lies one of the most distinctive estates in the Mid-Atlantic. Known as The Friary on the Severn, this historic estate residence — once a Capuchin monastery —  was designed in 1923 by architect Charles E. Anthony in the Georgian style.
