As part of a comprehensive home renovation led by Pinehurst Landscapes, One Source Contracting, and interior designer Kelly Mathioudakis, the homeowners sought a new vision for their home — one that would complement the existing pool while offering well-proportioned areas for gathering, dining, and retreat. The original pool deck had deteriorated, and the landscape lacked structure, planting, and clear destinations for daily use.

The transformation began with selective tree removal to invite natural light, followed by the introduction of multi-tiered decks that define distinct zones for lounging and alfresco dining.

The pool and surrounding deck were fully renovated with updated finishes aligned with the home’s refreshed aesthetic. New gardens bring softness, texture, and seasonal interest, while integrated landscape lighting allows the space to transition seamlessly from day to evening. A dedicated grilling area completes the outdoor program with quiet practicality.

Today, the backyard functions as an extension of the home itself — a place for unhurried afternoons, evening gatherings, and everyday moments. Designed with longevity and livability in mind, the landscape has become a natural center of family life across the seasons.
