ORGANIC MODERN

Property Description

Built on a mountainside in Charlottesville Virginia, this stunning contemporary home evokes the ideals of Organic Modern design.

Completed in 2026 by acclaimed residential architecture firm Pillar & Perch: Architects + Builders, the 5,500 square foot home leverages ambitious site engineering, structural steel framed walls of glass, and a narrow depth across one single level to fully maximize the grandeur of its panoramic mountain views.

Inside, a handsome fireplace created with locally sourced stone serves the heart of the home and serves as a tasteful transition to the outdoor living spaces — a core theme of organic modern design.

In the ktichen, the expansive waterfall island functions as both a generous chef’s prep table and a daily family dining table. Custom solid white oak cabinetry and a stunning walk-in pantry with double pocket glass doors and thoughtful built-ins offer ample space for practical needs involving storage and food preparation.

The large mono slope roof rises toward the back of the home, connecting the main living area directly to the custom saltwater-pool patio, outdoor living room, and the picturesque landscape, while hydronic radiant heated floors, multi-zoned high efficiency heat pump cooling, and a solar array on the roof allows the home to run off the grid if desired.
