Snce its founding in 2006, Boxwood Estate Winery has been recognized as one of the most significant viticulatural operations in Virgina. Located in Middleburg, what many consider the heart of Virginia Hunt Country, Boxwood Estate Winery is also one of the only non-residential projects ever designed by Hugh Newell Jacobsen, FAIA and his son, Simon. Regarded as one of the most important and influential families in American architecture, the Jacobsens chose a design for Boxwood Estate Winery that is both modern and agrarian — one that honors the sacred methods and culture of wine making while honoring local materials and building techniques of the Virginia countryside, including fieldstone, standing seam metal roofs, and cupolos. In this exclusive Design Salon, you will receive a personal tour of Boxwood Estate Winery by Simon Jacobson, followed by a curated wine tasting and informal question and answer.
